It's The Great Pumpkin!

Trick or Treat

A Boy and His Dog!

The Scariest Pumpkin in the World!

Sunday evening Jackson and I carved the scariest pumpkin in the whole world! Despite feeling a little under the weather this year, Jackson made the most of trick-or-treat. Not surprisingly he has a knack for turning lemons into lemonade!

He tricked and treated all through the neighborhood until he could hardly stand up. Wearing an authentic fireman's helmet might have contributed to his fatigue! Jackson has his kindergarten Halloween parade tomorrow and that will wrap up the fall season as far he is concerned. As I type this he is making out his list to Santa Claus! Tomorrow begins the official countdown to Christmas at Disney....should Santa leave the presents in the lobby of the hotel under the tree? I'm thinking that this could turn out to be a Royal Tenenbaum kind of Christmas as we've thrown tradition to the wind! Thanks for checking in.

Moving On...

I recently checked Jackson's CaringBridge Page for the first time in a very long time. I realized that it has been more than one year since I have posted an update there. In that time Jackson has moved at lightening speed navigating the waters of the 6 year old social scene and kindergarten. Current highlights in Jackson's world include:

  • The loss of two teeth and subsequent visits from the tooth fairy who apparently now brings toys as well as money!

  • A stellar soccer season being on the one of the top teams in the league. Jackson has consistently played on the wrong side of the field, gone the wrong direction, and engaged in various forms of theatrics mid-field and mid-game!

  • The fact that there are no naps in kindergarten makes it ten times better than preschool

In addition, yesterday he had his four year off treatment anniversary and continues to thrive! So, since fall is a time for change we're moving on. I will no longer update Jackson's CB page but I will post here on Jackson's blog!
If you're interested in the life and times of Jackson, stop by from time to time for updates and photos! With my current schedule I can't promise much but I'll do my best to post more than once a year : )
